A Work of Craftsmanship – Table craftily made from Natural Wood and Carved Glass
This handmade and all natural wood table is a welcome antidote to global décor. Crafted from the heart of the forest and the skill of a master carver, this piece isn’t just practical – it’s sculptural splendour in its purest shape.
Every curve, twist, and grain in the wood is left in its natural state and honour’s the raw beauty of the materials. The base of the table is carved from solid twisted hardwood roots – probably teak or cedar – carefully shaped and reinforced to create a genuine natural pedestal. Each section is one-of-a-kind, unrepeatable, and full of organic texture.
The glass top appears to hover above the wooden frame, a very meticulously mounted construction, to provide a well- balanced detailing. With a non-guitar shaped freeform outline that is in the image of the lines found in its mahogany body and whose curves further invite visual experience of the fluid shapes and the action inside the body. Set in the glass, the frail silvery fish or leaves make the piece nature-like, magical and aquatic.
